Ginkgo in the Field
Hello!
This is a 2.5 D stylized Ginkgo tree I did for Ashleigh Warner’s “Creating Stylized Game Assets” course for CGMA Spring 2021.
This was an absolute blast to make and I feel like I have learned so much. So excited to finally be able to share this after carefully taking in a lot of Ashleigh’s feedback on this piece.
Rough initial concept I did while figuring out the leaves.
Direction I ended up going with in the concept. Keeping the leaves vague but still somewhat readable - keeping distance in mind as well with less detail. Ended up having the ground a bit more bright with hints of blue hues to match the plants.
